New Vulva Dye Doesn’t Really Work, But Is Quite Tasty – The Consumerist

We mentioned the existence of My New Pink Button a few days ago. This new and exciting product promises to “restore the pink to a woman’s genitals,” since women don’t already have enough things to be insecure about. While Consumer Reports doesn’t have this on their testing schedule (yet), one enterprising blogger has tested the product so you don’t have to. And there are pictures. No, not that kind.

Apparently, the product doesn't work particularly well. And it burns.

I put the product on and let it sit as the instructions advised. Things were okay for a few seconds, and then…THE BURNING! I have certainly felt worse, but it was very noticeable. The instructions assure me that this burning is “due to the ingredients reacting to your bodies own PH balance which is normal and will go away upon rinsing off the colorant.”

Rinse it off I did, and did I notice a difference? I did not. I will confess to you I took before and after pictures for my own scrutiny. Well hello there my vulva. Long time, no see. Sorry about the burning sensation.

Clips: Microsoft Basically Admits that IE8 Is for Porn

Microsoft’s latest History of the Internet promotion is a pretty lame, VH1esque mashup of various b-list comedians cracking jokes—until those comedians talk about Internet Explorer 8’s new In Private Mode.

In this short excerpt, Microsoft endorses their product with a firm nudge and a wink. I mean, Steve Ballmer didn’t go so far as to drop trou on screen, but kudos to the company for not being total prudes about what their software is clearly designed to facilitate.

Just keep those innocent little girls on a different set than your pervy comedians, Microsoft. Seriously, I don’t even want to see them at the same lunch table. [Microsoft via Crunchgear]
