Put a playboy and a knight together and you’ll get folks talking. That appears to be the case with unconfirmed media reports that Hugh Hefner is considering a $300 million offer from Virgin Media’s Richard Branson for Playboy Enterprises Inc.
Those follow last week’s reports that the publisher of the iconic girlie magazine was being shopped to private-equity firms.

Although the official announcement of this year’s Playmate of the Year will be done by Hugh Hefner at an official ceremony tonight at the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas, Miss March 2008 Ida Ljungqvist reportedly already has the title in the bag.
“Ida won! She is so excited!” a pal of the stunner tells The FABlife.
Ida, 27, was born in Tanzania to a Swedish mother and Tanzanian father. She is the first Playmate born in Africa and is fluent in English, Swedish, and Swahili.

The chain of events that led me to that job opportunity started in 1973 when I took the position as art director of Gallery magazine. Ron Fenton, the founding publisher of Gallery, was not himself connected but enjoyed the company of yeggs that were – as well as corrupt attorneys, punch-drunk prizefighters, prostitutes, hit-men and thugs of every stripe. He fairly wallowed in and was thrilled by nefarious association. And he was also obsessed with Hugh Hefner.
He was so consumed, in fact, that he opened Gallery’s offices directly across the street from Playboy’s offices, he procured a mansion just down the street from Hef’s, opened a key-club that parroted the Playboy Club and designed his magazine to look exactly like Playboy. Even down to choosing a name that contained seven letters. This close visual association was beneficial in that readers assumed that Gallery was Playboy’s sister magazine and that resulted in impressive initial circulation numbers.

Girl Next Door Kendra Wilkinson apparently doesn’t want to be persona non grata over her candid Q&A in Us Weekly, so now she’s looking to clear up her remarks about living with Hugh Hefner and sneaking sex away from the Mansion.
“I’m more upset at myself with what I said,” Kendra tells E! News. “I’m really bad at interviews, and anyone who knows me knew I meant no harm…I’m a goofball. Mostly, I’m very sorry to have hurt Hef…Playboy made me who I am, and Hef has done more for me than anyone else.
“In my heart, I will always love Hef and Playboy.”

Bridget Marquardt has moved out of the Playboy Mansion, she confirms to Usmagazine.com.
Hugh Hefner ‘s exes Holly Madison and Kendra Wilkinson left in October.
“I was actually thinking about it for awhile,” Marquardt tells Us Friday. “It’s unrelated to Holly and Kendra moving out. Hef and I have a really special relationship. This all has nothing to do with my feelings for Hef. I care about him very much. It’s just a good time for me to become my own person.

Hugh Hefner has sent out his annual holiday card, and in 2008 the 82-year old doubled the Christmas cheer by posing with topless, bodypainted twin girlfriends Karissa and Kristina Shannon in a photo on the front.
Hefner, 82, is in his standard uniform of silk robe and pajamas while the girls, 19, have pink paint and the word “hef” written across their chests and matching cloth shorts.

LOS ANGELES — Hugh Hefner is down a girlfriend. Hefner and Holly Madison, one of E’s “The Girls Next Door,” are no longer dating. Hefner said he’s been “down in the dumps” about the split.
The 28-year-old model-actress stars in the reality series with Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt as one of the 82-year-old publisher’s girlfriends who live with Hefner in the Playboy Mansion.
“If Holly says it’s over, I guess it’s over,” Hefner said in a telephone interview Wednesday. “She’s still here in the house. Until a few days ago, we were still sharing the same bed.”
