On April 2, the showing of “Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge” by the University of California Davis’ Entertainment Council will feature a speaker on pornography. The University of Maryland’s screening at the Hoff Theater on April 4 includes an introduction by Planned Parenthood. Over 2,000 excited students cheered and clapped throughout recent screenings at UCLA, Northwestern University, Carnegie Mellon University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and Southern Connecticut State University. Lisa Cunningham, Program Coordinator for the University of Maryland’s Hoff Theater says, “The popularity of ‘Pirates’ with the college-age demographic led us to believe screening ‘Pirates II’ would bring in a good draw from the University of Maryland community and would be a fun event from them to attend.
