AP A strip club in Ohio has raised $1,000 for Haitian earthquake relief during what was billed as “Lap dances for Haiti.”Marilyn’s on Monroe in Toledo donated the $10 cover charges collected Saturday to ISOH/IMPACT, an organization based in suburban Perrysburg that provides food and clothing for Haiti.Marilyn’s general manager Kenny Soprano says his establishment had been looking for a reason to hold a charity fundraiser even before the quake, as a way to improve its image. He says you don’t hear much about strip clubs giving back to the community.

Craigslist Prostitution Charges Blocked – CBS News

(CBS/AP) A federal judge on Friday blocked South Carolina’s attorney general from making any move to prosecute Craigslist executives for ads that lead to prostitution arrests while the company pursues its lawsuit against the state.
The order signed by U.S. District Judge Weston Houck requires Attorney General Henry McMaster “to refrain from initiating or pursuing any prosecution against Craigslist or its officers” in connection with content posted on the site.
McMaster and Craigslist agreed to the judge’s order.

Secretary: Madoff Liked Massage Parlors – CBS News

(AP) Bernard Madoff’s longtime secretary said Wednesday that she believes the disgraced financier is not cooperating with authorities in order to protect others, and that he was a flirtatious boss who frequented massage parlors.
Eleanor Squillari, Madoff’s secretary of more than 20 years, told The Associated Press she thinks her former boss carefully orchestrated his arrest and that he’s protecting others who might have been involved in his multibillion-dollar scheme by not cooperating with investigators. She declined to speculate as to whom he might be protecting.
Squillari said that if she had a chance to speak to Madoff, she would ask him “to do the right thing and to let us know this happened.”
