The age-old Miss USA pageant has come under fire for posting suggestive photos and videos of 51 hopefuls on their official website.
The Miss USA contestants posed for the official photos in Las Vegas last week, with plenty of skin showing in highly provocative poses, clad mostly in lingerie. Critics are slamming the new direction as a ploy to grab ratings, while others are saying it’s a sign of the times and a way for the women to show their confidence and sexuality.
Carrie Prejean, the former Miss California USA who became a darling among conservatives when she refused to support same-sex marriage during the Miss USA Pageant, went on Sean Hannity‘s show tonight to promote her book and confirm TMZ’s report that she made some kind of sex tape when she was a teenager.
Making the tape was the “worst mistake of my life,” Prejean repeatedly said. “I was all by myself. I was sending my boyfriend at the time, who I loved and cared about, you know, video of me. I was a teenager at the time and never did I ever think it would come out.”
Prejean told Hannity that she is “taking total responsibility for it.”
Former Miss California runner-up, Carrie Prejean had her day in court yesterday, though it didn’t turn out quite the way she had hoped. The Beauty Pageant almost Queen was suing the Miss California Pageant officials for a litany of charges including public ridicule, anxiety, depression and loss of sleep stemming from the official’s handling of her career.
Everything was going fine until the defendants started playing an extremely graphic homemade sex tape starring none other than Miss Prejean, herself.
It’s been reported that it only took about fifteen seconds of playing the tape before Prejean decided to drop her lawsuit. If all litigation could only end so quickly.
“Matthew McConaughey. He has funny movies and teaches us a lot about fitness.”
A contestant in front of me during the preliminary interview at Miss Texas USA actually gave that response. She gained her brilliance from experience as a former Miss Teen Texas USA, the answer earning her a spot in the Top 15 on pageant night. No offense to my fellow Longhorn University of Texas alumnus — he is a successful man with his own production company who will make any business think twice about a “no shirt, no shoes” policy — but I doubt Fool’s Gold will ever hold a candle to anything we remember throughout history about Sam Houston.
Miss California Carrie Prejean and Donald Trump emphasized her beauty and successful modeling career at Tuesday’s press conference, and now E! has uncovered some footage of her pre-scandal days from their own network.
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – The Miss California USA pageant is expected to announce its decision over whether Carrie Prejean should keep her state crown amid allegations of contract violations.
The pageant has been investigating whether the 21-year-old San Diego native violated her contract by making public appearances with groups opposed to same-sex marriage. Prejean also failed to reveal to organizers that she posed in her underwear as a teenager.
Pageant organizers have scheduled a news conference on the matter for later Monday. There’s no word on whether Miss USA contest owner Donald Trump will disqualify Prejean as first runner-up in the national contest.
A second topless photo of Miss California Carrie Prejean has been released by TheDirty.com, days after Prejean promised the state pageant that there was only one such photo in existence.

Back to the crown drama. On Wednesday Prejean’s runner-up Miss Malibu told “Access Hollywood‘s” Billy Bush she is ready to step in should Prejean lose her crown because of a morality clause in the pageant contract contestants sign that promises they have no nude or semi-nude photos in their past.
So how’s this for a new twist? Carrie Prejean believes she did not violate her Miss California contract when she gave pageant officials written assurance she never posed semi-nude.
Carrie’s rep tells us the photo that’s circulating is not a semi-nude pic — “It’s not a semi-nude pose because she’s modeling for lingerie.”
Fun Fact — even though we haven’t published the four semi-nude pics that were sent to us (because Carrie claims she was 17 when they were taken), we can assure you she was not wearing a top and she was flaunting some side boob.
