Mom’s first nude shoot – Salon

This isn’t one of those stories about how empowering it was to pose naked for a magazine. You’ve read that one already. It usually involves someone who falls just slightly out of the range of superhumanly gorgeous, striking a blow for “real” women everywhere. “Model who isn’t insect thin gets naked for Glamour” — edgy! Miss Universe goes unretouched — keeping it real! “I am showing the world my feminine strength by ditching my underpants!”
Well, that’s not why I did it. And that’s good, because that’s not what happened. So when you see my friends and me nude in New York’s Time Out this week, don’t assume I’m making a big statement on behalf of my sex, or presume I’m trying to be an example to anybody else. Get your own self-esteem role models, girlfriend.
Why, then, did I disrobe? It’s not like I usually go in for exhibitionism — I’ve never even worn a bikini. When, throughout my 20s and 30s, friends were working as strippers and posing nude in men’s magazines, I never once considered joining their ranks. I wasn’t a naked-getting kind of woman, any more than I’m a NASCAR-driving or oil-fire-putting-out one. I harbor no delusions of being photogenic either. For the author picture for my recent book, the photographer took well over 300 shots and informed me, “I wouldn’t have picked any of them.”

People need many things right now, but surely nothing more than the ability to spontaneously see through the clothing of another.
You know this is true. So do the other-oriented folks at Presselite. For they want you to share their pride in an application creation called Nude It, which was approved by the Apple store Komsomol Tuesday.
Antoine Morcos, co-founder of Presselite, admitted in a press release that the creators’ inspiration in the development of this astounding technology came from the WhoIsTheBaldGuyBlog. I have embedded a YouTube video in order to give you some relief from feeling that you inhabit a strange planet called Nexus One.

Naked women hit the stage for feminism | News

Women are being invited to get on stage and dance naked in front of hundreds of people – to strike a blow for modern feminism.
Organisers are hoping to recruit more than 100 women “of all ages, shapes and sizes” to perform a “high-energy dance” without any clothes on at the Barbican and Battersea Arts Centre.
The 10-minute frolic is the main feature of Trilogy, a three-part show about feminism that is coming to London for the first time since its Edinburgh Fringe debut last year.

Naked Vanessa Hudgens Now a Federal Matter – E! Online

Safe to say that Mickey Mouse would definitely not approve.
Hoping to keep her private parts private, Vanessa Hudgens is suing the owners of a website for posting her naked self-portaits.
The Disneyfied starlet has gone to federal court in Los Angeles to ask a judge to order moejackson.com to remove her widely disseminated cell-phone images immediately. The High School Musical star is also seeking unspecified damages.

Oh, Lindsay Lohan. The out-of-work actress never seems to say no when someone asks her to take off her clothes for a photo shoot.
Playing edgy model in Muse Magazine for a day, Lindsay poses nude in a spread inspired by Kate Moss and Johnny Depp’s relationship. Photographer Yu Tsai says Lindsay “was totally comfortable with the nudity as long as it had artistic integrity. When you see her nipple, it just happened in the moment. She was playing the role of Kate Moss—you’re at a party and you are with a guy you really love and another girl.”
Well, it's certainly true if you're going to really play Kate Moss, nipple just happens, but what's actually sad is Yu recalls Linds saying, “I want to make this iconic.”

A KINGSCLIFF 16-year-old has made a controversial start to her modelling career, by posing nude for the cover of a surfing magazine.
With only strategically placed limbs barely covering her modesty, Ella Rose Corby cuts a striking figure on the cover of Stab.
But the shoot has posed concerns in the community, with Richmond MP Justine Elliot and fellow Tweed model Samantha Harris voicing unease about Miss Corby’s age.

Twilight’ starlet Christian Serratos, 19, is the latest celeb to take her clothes off for PETA. Her TV credits include squeaky-clean shows like ‘Hannah Montana,’ ‘Zoey 101‘ and ‘7th Heaven.’
Christian’s naked ad debuts in the walk-up to her new movie. ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon‘ opens November 20.

Since its inception some 56 years ago, Playboy Magazine has been subjected to ongoing wrath from feminist groups over what some label a display of fake-breasted, plastic women and Hugh Hefner’s twisted personal vision of the ideal female.
However, the magazine’s December cover girl, bikini model and “DWTS” star Joanna Krupa, has something to say to those women who view the men’s magazine as sexist and demeaning to the female gender.

“I think they suffer from lack of knowledge and tunnel vision. How many of those self-important, so-called ‘feminists’ have been on the set when a celebrity shot a Playboy spread? There you go. What is feminist about discriminating a photo shoot just because it involves female (partial) nudity that happens to give men pleasure? Pathetic,” Krupa told Tarts in an exclusive interview.

t’s a Tuesday afternoon, and a passerby is asking senior Candice Maria for a smoke. But Maria has far more to reveal than a box of cigarettes.
“Do you want to see my boobs?” she asks the passerby, responding to his inquiry about the content of the magazine open on her lap.
Not accustomed to Duke women making such offers just outside of Perkins library, the perplexed passerby inevitably accepts, prompting Maria to hand him the magazine-Playboy’s 2009 “Girls of the ACC” issue, released Sept. 11.
