Porn Comes to the iPhone—So What? – Columns by PC Magazine

It s time for people to get a grip and stop getting so darn excited about every single new App Store development. Post a Comment by Lance Ulanoff Apple iPhoneToday s top tech news story is that the first adult app has made it into the iPhone App Store. This milestone was made possible by the iPhone 3GS s new parental control feature which is ridiculously called “Restrictions” because Apple thinks enterprises may want to use it as well. Hurray for the iPhone and the App Store. Now everyone over the age of 17 can view porn or at least soft-core porn on the “world s best handheld computer.” There are so many jokes I could sprinkle in here but I ll control myself oops that may have been one . The real issue is why anyone cares about this news. So now you have an adult app on the iPhone. Has everyone forgotten that the iPhone comes with an excellent Web browser that can surf to say hard-core porn sites Sure flash video won t work but pimply-faced 17-year-old boys can still watch video files and view all the JPEGs of the Girls of Spring Summer and Fall they want.

Two years earlier, the pair had published “Human Sexual Response,” their first book, based on more than 10 years of clinical research. It was a best seller, and it rattled the culture in much the same way the first Kinsey Report had in 1948.
Alfred Kinsey compiled his information from surveys. His work was sociology. William Masters and Virginia Johnson actually watched people — a lot of people — have sex, with heart monitors and other gizmos attached to their subjects’ bodies. Here was science. Here was raw data that steamed America’s frozen peas.

Los Angeles (E! Online) – Hayden Panettiere has no problem showing some skin.
In her new movie, I Love You, Beth Cooper (in theaters July 10), Ms. Panettiere stars as the most popular girl in high school who is the object of the school nerd’s affection. In one scene, with her back to the camera, she drops her towel in the locker room to impress her geeky suitor, played by Paul Rust.
So just how naked was she? Read on to find out…
“I was really naked,” the 18-year-old starlet tells me. “I had these little sticky petals on my boobs, but that was about it. My dad calls me such an exhibitionist. He always says, ‘God, even when you were little, you were such an exhibitionist!’ “
Even so, Panettiere has no plans to go frontal for the cameras…yet.

Fleshbot editor [link NSFW] Lux Alptraum has a new piece in BlackBook about the renewed debate surrounding condoms in the porn industry. She says performers don’t use them because viewers simply don’t want to see them.
Alptraum says:
The reason for condom scarcity in straight porn, ultimately, is you: the consumer. Porn companies make porn without condoms because that is the kind of porn that patrons want to see. And porn companies want to give you what you want-it’s how they make a living.
As evidence, Alptraum cites the drop-off in sales (particularly abroad) by Wicked Pictures, the only condoms-required porn company in the States and the movement, even within the condom-heavy gay porn genre, to go condom-less.
