Craigslist is saving newspapers!
I respectfully disagree with Arianna Huffington’s claim this week that Craig helped her kill print journalism.
Just as Prohibition handed over the lucrative liquor trade to the Bronfmans and the Kennedys, rabid law enforcement agents are chasing the equally lucrative classified sex ads from craigslist back to old-fashioned newsprint businesses nervy enough to keep publishing them.

LOS ANGELES – State health officials are looking into the latest HIV case reported in California’s multibillion-dollar porn industry, fearing that reckless practices on film sets might be raising the risk of new infections.
It was revealed this week that a woman tested positive for HIV immediately after making an adult film. The state Division of Occupational Safety and Health is attempting to identify the filmmaker, at which point a formal investigation would begin.
“Our concern is that we need to quickly get to the employer so that we can work with them to change their practices to ensure the proper safety measures are being taken to prevent the additional spread of HIV,” agency spokesman Dean Fryer said.

Heidi Montag has gotten a lot of exposure lately – but the newlywed is about to get even more: She has posed for the September issue of Playboy, PEOPLE has confirmed.
The reality star was most recently stirring up drama on I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here, shot in Costa Rica, where she was briefly hospitalized. In April, she married her Hills costar Spencer Pratt.
Details of her Playboy photos are, um, scant: “There is nudity. It’s tasteful – she had a lot of fun with it,” says a second source. A rep for the magazine had no comment, and Montag’s rep was not immediately available to respond to questions. – Jennifer Garcia
