Chinese police closed a Web site that sold erotic audiobooks and arrested four people involved as the country continued its crackdown on Internet porn, state-run media said Friday.
Shanghai police arrested three employees of www.ilisten.cn, a popular audiobook site whose 500,000 members could download recordings of young women reading erotic stories, the China Daily said, citing Shanghai police.
Police also arrested a woman paid to make some of the recordings, which were sold in a series called “Night Talk” that got 2 million hits last year and made sales worth 40,000 yuan (US$5,900), the Shanghai Daily said.
