It’s hot to spy on people and even legal when they put the info out themselves on Twitter. Well, we did a little research on some of Twitter’s more talkative ladies…
During a recent business trip, I found myself shoe-horned into the back of a taxi with colleagues in various stages of inebriation, hurtling through chancy neighborhoods of Baltimore. I was on my Blackberry with my wife, going through the litany of “kids/mail/bills/when are you coming home/this single mother crap is getting old” when the cabbie abruptly stopped at our destination.
“Gotta go, hon,” I said. “We just pulled up to the strip club.” My colleagues turned their heads my way, mouths open.
“You told her you were going here tonight?” one colleague asked.
It’s probably unsurprising that they end up talking about completely different things. Breslin ends up talking mostly about how the public expression of those desires tends to earn women opprobrium, and Stoddard, an alt-sex writer for Nerve, ends up talking about how women with whom he has been intimate were either more inclined to express certain sexual proclivities to him than he was to them, or more apt to have them (he’s not clear which). They’re both sort of right, and both sort of wrong.
Your Crap Archivist brings you the finest in forgotten and bewildering crap culled from basements, thrift stores, estate sales and flea markets. I do this for one reason: Knowledge is power.
Author:Bill O’Reilly Publisher: Random House Audio Date: 2001, though the book was published in 1998 Discovered at: Goodwill The Cover Promises: A bold, fresh piece.
Last week, when your Crap Archivist got all aghast about the inexcusable creepiness that is The O’Reilly Factor For Kids, I failed to point out something important: horrifying as it is, The O’Reilly Factor For Kidsis far from Bill O’Reilly’s worst – or creepiest — book.
That honor goes to Those Who Trespass, his 1998 novel about an O’Reilly-esque TV journalist who is trained by an Irish Republican Army terrorist to kill the people who deserve it the most: the broadcast news bastards who interfered with the O’Reilly character’s career. It’s personal on the political level, too — his victims includes a powerful “bitch” named Hillary and a fat “slob” named Martin Moore…
And, best of all, Ryanair has officially stated that they’re fine with their flight attendant’s extracurricular activities. Maybe they’ll consider including some of her more x-rated work in their 2010 calendar?

Taylor Swift has no problems talking about dating – and boys – but don’t ask her about sex.
“It’s fine to talk about love publicly,” the 19-year-old singer tells Allure for its April issue, “but I think when you talk about virginity and sex publicly, people just automatically picture you naked. And as much as I can prevent people picturing me naked, I’m going to.”
Still, Swift thinks a lot about dating, especially its impact on her songwriting. Even a bad relationship can be a point of inspiration.
Spend a few years living in San Francisco and the city’s many public celebrations of sexual transgression will no longer shock you. But Sunday’s New York Timesprofiles a community located on Folsom Street, home of the world’s largest BDSM and leather fair, that registers as subversive to even longtime residents like myself: a commune dedicated to the female orgasm. One Taste Urban Retreat Center aims to start a female-focused “slow-sex movement”; it’s much like the “slow food movement,” only it is lady parts that are being savored.
Bright and early each and every morning at One Taste, roughly a dozen fully clothed male residents caress the nether lips of half-naked women. It might sound like the stuff of most straight women’s fantasies — save for the fact that eye contact is banned, the men are known as “research partners” rather than lovers, and it all takes place in the same room. It’s an orgy of orgasmic meditation, also known as “OMing.” Devotees explain it as “hydration” of the self and a strengthening of human connection. That search for intimacy, however, does not include reciprocation: At this stop, only ladies are allowed aboard the Orgasm Express.
Over at XX Factor, Jessica Grose rhetorically asks: “This is not to say that a woman‘s orgasm isn’t an important thing, but isn’t it horrifically self-absorbed to join a commune dedicated to the pursuit?” Initially, I, too, had a negative response. Imbalanced eroticism doesn’t sound very sexy to me, and I also had a frightening flash of anti-feminists declaring the commune proof of the real feminist agenda: making men sexually subservient. But, and here I risk revealing myself as a California caricature, I generally like to take a “whatever tickles your pickle” approach to other people’s sexuality.
