No election cycle is complete without a porn star candidate.
Fans of Stormy Daniels got the ball rolling early for 2010 with the launch of DraftStormy.com, a website designed to encourage Daniels to take on Republican Louisiana Sen. David Vitter.
The effort may have been tongue-in-cheek. But Politico chatted with Daniels for our inaugural Politico Podcast, and she sounded downright enthusiastic about a Senate bid.
“I think it sounds great,” said Daniels. “I said I wanted to take over the world and I guess ‘senator’ is a good place to start, right? … I’ve been handed a golden opportunity and I should take advantage of it.”
